ORCHESTRA

Lil Lacy has a great passion for composing music for the orchestra. The colors and spatiality of the orchestra is of a never-ending and constant inspiration to Lil Lacy.
Lil Lacy will be Composer in Residence at the Danish Philharmonic Orchestra (DK) from 2024-2027 and at Gävle Symphony Orchestra (SE) from 2025 – 2026.
These long-term collaborations are of great value to Lil Lacy as a composer in relation to developing both her music for, experiences with and approaches to collaborating with orchestras across different cultures and countries. Furthermore, Lil Lacy is curious about how the music of the orchestra meets, engages with and communicates to the audience. This has among others resulted in an outdoor multichannel installation of the orchestra piece Aurōra, that will be premiered in 2026 in Gävle, SE in close collaboration with Gävle Symphony Orchestra.
